How to make your service THE only good option

Creating the ultimate irresistible offer

Reading time: 4 mins.

Previously I was talking about how to create excitement around your products. Today’s topic is all about the services: how can you create a winning offer and sell it at the highest price?

But before we jump in: at the end of the email we have a voting for next week’s email topic. Please let me know if you want to read topic A or B first. 😊

The magic of a service isn't just in what it offers, it's in how it's presented. Not to say that we are ok with mediocre services - no, we always strive for the best. But even the world's greatest service can fail if its packaging sucks... you probably know what the results are going to be.

So here’s a step-by-step plan for you: real, actionable, audacious. And also guaranteed to get you results.

1. Dig deep into customer desires: Push selling aside and think about connecting with the customer. Understand the core needs and desires of your customers. That's where the true value of your service begins.

2. Reinvent the package: Think of your service as an experience, a journey, a transformation. Package it in a way that tells a story, solves a problem, changes lives - a magical package they can't wait to open.

3. Overdeliver on value: Toss in extras that make your customers feel like they've hit the jackpot. These don't have to break the bank, but they should make your customers feel like a million bucks. A free consultation, a glass of champagne, an email template bundle - whatever works for your service. People love bonuses, so make this an extra value you’re providing, not a part of the regular package.

4. Share social proof: People follow the crowd. The markets are so competitive right now, you want your offer look like a no-brainer, the safest and smartest decision they can do for their future! Show off those glowing testimonials and success stories. It's the social proof that gives your service credibility.

5. Sell the dream, not the drill: Don't just sell the service or the work that needs to be done, sell them life changing results. Paint the picture of their success story with your service as the catalyst. Show the minimum effort route to getting results.

6. Create urgency: Limited slots, ticking clocks – these are more than just tactics. They're your secret weapons for motivating action. They have been used and overused because they work.

7. Get personal: Talk to your community. Ask your customers about their worries, so you could appeal to their reservations to tell how your service solves their problem. Don’t just trust your gut.

8. Pull out the irresistible offer: Craft an offer that's too good to pass up. It's a blend of understanding your customer’s pain points, your unique creativity and experience, crazy value, and proof you’re to be trusted.

I believe this is a universal formula that can be used for any sort of services: from manicure to career coaching to plastic surgery. Don’t think you’re doing “just nails” or “just plumbing”. No way - people who come to you are hungry for your services, so package them accordingly. Your closest competitor is just one click/step away from you, so you want to make sure you do everything to be better than them.

Actionable Tip of the Week: Set aside time this week to directly talk to your target audience/current customers through social media comments, surveys, or real life conversations. Ask them about their current challenges or what they wish to see improved in your industry. Use their feedback to refine your services and make your offers more tailored and irresistible.

Here’s how I can help:
